Like most businesses in America, as our industry evolves, we see an increasing push toward commoditization. That means more meetings and more volume, using lead distribution centers and automated research processes. As technology moves in, real customer service moves out.

At RFP, we don't think that model is something to strive for. In fact, we don't think technology and outsourcing should EVER replace high-quality service and human relationships! That's not how we do business.

We believe an individual, hands-on approach—combined with the best of technology—is always the best way to maintain quality control and ensure your total satisfaction.

We have relationships globally with onsite hoteliers, GSOs, DMCs, CVBs and most importantly meeting planners. This network is key in the cross-qualification process with regards to hotel selection. Websites and site inspections are not enough to determine the qualification of a good venue for your meetings. At RFP, we are constantly discussing properties with fellow planners and off-property contacts who can give us unbiased feedback on the properties we are considering.

At the same time, we understand the importance of representing your interests in selling your meeting to the hotel. It takes great intention and energy to truly motivate a hotel to their bottom line while keeping the relationship positive. We work closely with the property so they understand and appreciate the true value of your program and will go the extra lengths to get your business.

Our Role

Think of us as your personal investment broker—not the online stock company or the big-box franchise—we're the seasoned folks who have been working one-on-one every day in the marketplace year after year, and we know all the creative strategies to get you the very best value at the property you desire.

Working on your behalf, we walk that fine line as mediator between the hotel and meeting professional. Let us do the sticky parts: cross-qualify every lead, ask the tough questions, negotiate that bottom line. We know how to push the hotel to its limits while keeping relationships solid and positive, so that when you arrive for your event, you'll be welcomed with open arms!

Our Do's & Don'ts

We take into consideration your specific needs and desires to craft a highly specialized RFP for the top selection of venues, then go after the ones you want!

We don't send out an automated blanket request to every hotel in town.

Unlike the global sales offices or hotel representation firms, we are not tied to any hotel or supplier. Our only goal is to serve your interests.

We don't limit your options to specific branded properties in order to serve our own interests.

We break it all down, and then dig deeper to give you our recommendation of the best fit for your meeting.

We don't just send you a spreadsheet with facts, figures and grids with a million choices.

Your experienced consultant works with you one-on-one every step of the way, from site selection to contract negotiation, acting as your liaison and getting you the answers you need.

We don't pass you off to a new account executive who may not even understand the hospitality industry.

The contract negotiation process is very important to us. We make sure that your contract not only offers great concessions, but also limits your liability and exposure.

We don't just hand over the contract.

This is your event, and we will assist you as much or as little as you like—our involvement level is entirely up to you.

We don't step on your toes or get in your way.

We believe in total transparency, so you know that we are paid 10% commission by hotels, guaranteed not to impact room rates.

We don't require you to sign a contract, and we don't charge you a dime.
